CLASS DESCRIPTIONS:
Moksha: A dynamic system of postures linked with breath specifically designed to be practiced in the heat. Moksha Classes are intended to open and detoxify the entire body.
Moksha Mix: A class that is within the Moksha sequence with new and different postures woven in to both challenge and increase the fun factor of your practice.
Power Flow: Power flow stems from the vinyasa system of yoga which literally means flowing with breath. It is a challenging class that works the body on all levels. There is creativity in the sequencing which makes this class challenging and fun. This class is not suitable for beginners. Heat will be reduced when practiced in the hot room.
Community class: A regular Moksha class led by a new teacher. Free only for unlimited pass holders otherwise the cost is $8.00.
We are excited to welcome new grads from the 2010 India and Toronto trainings. Community classes are held Saturdays and Sundays at 2 pm. These classes give new graduates a chance to hone their skills in a studio environment.
Karma Class: A regular Moksha class offered on a donation basis ($8 min). Proceeds going to local charites and Bullfrog power. (No passes)
Ashtanga: Ashtanga is a progressive heat building practice that focuses on strength, concentration and flexibility. The
Ashtanga system of yoga involves synchronizing the breath with purposeful movement in order to purify and strengthen the body
and mind. Various levels are offered, introductory Ashtanga
Prep for beginning practitioners focusing on the fundamentals of the practice, Ashtanga 1 some experience
in the fundamentals of ashtanga practice required, Ashtanga
2 a more advanced practice including arm balances and inversions.
Yin: A wonderful balance to the more dynamic practices. Fewer postures, longer holds, reduced heat allowing the connective tissues and muscles to unravel. Come and treat yourself.
Vinyasa: Literally meaning "flow with breath". It is a challenging class that works the body on all levels. Creativity in sequencing makes it both challenging and fun!
Hatha: Postures that stretch and align the body, promoting balance and flexibility. A focus on the breath and meditation are incorporated with the goal of bringing a sound body, a clear and peaceful mind.
Hatha Flow in the heated room: This class is different from our standard Moksha sequence. Accessible to all levels of practice. Come and try out out some new poses!!
Meditation: Exploring breath-work, and deepening awareness of the patterns and thoughts of the mind. Practiced in the non-heated room.
Mom and Baby: Specialized class for you and your baby (1 month - walking). For info on instructor click here.
Prenatal: 90 minute class that incorporates stretching, meditation and relaxation.
Kids Yoga: 60 minute pre-registered class specialized for youth (5 years to 9 years of age) in the non-heated room. Kids can enjoy their own class as individuals, while their parents can take part in the Moksha (60) in the heated room. Please contact the studio to pre-register, you don't want to lose your spot!
